  2009

November 2009 >> 04 to 05 Design Level

The traditional ‘Blagdon’ Valve Block has always been considered a strength of the Blagdon pump. Its simplicity, design and ease of maintenance has always been regarded as a significant strong point in the success of the pump. To bring in line with other models we are improving the design by removing the circlip on the B25 & B40 models and replacing this with a new plug retained with socket cap head screws.  This change brings the design in line with the B06 and B15 models to standardise the range.

July 2009 >> PTFE Composite Diaphragms

Blagdon PTFE Composite Diaphragms don't require front and back plates, therefore making them easier to install and safer to use in hazardous duties. Blagdon are continuing work on approval of the other diaphragms in the range, the next being the B25 Moulded. This will be available later in the year, followed by the B40 to complete the range.

  • Up to 50% energy savings - depending on application and pump size
  • Reduced operating and labour costs – no manual adjustment required
  • Reduced compressor load
